The Mainstays Parsons Console Table will create an appealing entryway into your home with its woodgrain finish and clean lines. Keep your personal items like your keys, purse and wallet on the top surface for easy access and books or a decorative display on the lower shelf. This console table could also be used as a sofa table for extra storage in your living room. The thick hollow core construction makes this table stable so you feel comfortable placing your items on top of it. Table top supports up to 50 pounds on the top shelf and 30 pounds on the bottom shelf. Two adults are recommended for assembly of this console table.
Clean Lines and Solid Construction
This piece is sturdy, given the materials used in construction. The pre-drilled holes were all in the correct spots, and the directions were clear. I used hand tools to put it together because I didn't want to accidentally mar the finishes of the piece by using too much force. It took about 45 minutes for me to assemble by myself. I looked for a LONG time for a black console table with clean “Parsons” lines and a lower shelf. I would have been willing to pay quite a bit more for solid wood and higher end construction but this is the best design, even compared to much more expensive pieces. This piece is not one that will be heavily used, so hollow core works for my needs.ParticularandThrifty
Color Canyon Walnut- So i decided to go with this table for my entry way by reading so many reviews good and bad i wanted to have my own experince. For the price 63.00$ its a deal breaker. Table is sturdy not damaged at all and no missing pieces. I put it together by myself not hard at all only issue was with putting the top table to the legs with the connecters i had to fight with the screws since it wouldnt line up 100% with the little holes jejeje but i made it work. No complains here i love it cant wait to start decorating it â¤ï¸Ika
Dimensions are Correct!
I bought this looking for more table-top/counter-top space for my kitchen. I saw the dimensions on the website and looked at the pictures on the website multiple times and determined maybe they had made a mistake. It looks like it might be a console table that is higher than the stated dimensions. I was wrong and they were right!
It is too short to be used as extra counter-top space as I'd hoped, but I am still able to use it in my kitchen as additional storage. The color blends well with Better Homes and Gardens bookshelves and cubed shelving units in the color style of ‘Weathered'.
As I was putting it together the legs seemed wobbly but once I put the top on I retightened all the bolts and the table was pretty solid and stable. According to the instruction pamphlet the top shelf can hold 50 pounds and the bottom shelf can hold 30 pounds. I put this together by myself in about an hour and it was easy to put together, for the most part.
I found that in Step 2 of the directions (there are a total of 4 steps) no matter how much I screwed and re-screwed the bolts in the legs were still a bit wobbly. It wasn't until I put the top on that the table felt more stable.
I give it 4 stars because it's pretty easy to put together alone (if you are able) and it coordinates well with Better Homes and Garden furniture sold at Walmart. I didn't give it 5 stars because I wish it was taller.NYMom
